The
Linn Area Photo Club was founded in October 2003 by a group of
photography enthusiasts living in the greater Cedar Rapids and Linn
County, Iowa area. Currently the Club has nearly 50 paid members
and is continuing to grow monthly. As our motto says, the Club
was
founded to
"share our passion for photography". Members of our club
want to meet and learn from their fellow photographers, and most
importantly, shoot pictures!
The
Club is affiliated with the Photographic
Society of
America
(PSA), a world-wide organization of photographers of all
ages
with different interests and levels of experience. Whether your
images start on film or in a digital camera, the PSA has some activity
or service that you'll find enjoyable.
At
the regional level the Club
is a member of the North
Central Camera
Club Council (N4C). The N4C is also affiliated with the PSA
and
serves camera clubs in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota,
Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and
Wyoming.
